Inspired By #4

With the upcoming New Year I thought it would be fitting to use some New Years inspiration.  I love this invitation.  I love the colors and I actually thought it made for a great sketch and was going to go that route but in the end I went with the colors.

I decided to use some of my new goodies too.  I have never used this Wine Bottle Tag die from PTI and it was perfect for the challenge.  The pattern papers are from Echo Park and the die cut is made with my Holiday Words & Expressions Slice Elite cartridge.  Finally some White Colored Wire from the Ribbon Carousel.

This is also for the following challenges: Little Red Wagon - New;  Color Q - Black, White and one other color; Ribbon Reel - New Year.

Remember to link up by next Wednesday January 4t 11:59 PST.  For your chance at the prize.
I can't wait to see what you do!

I realize that this is such a busy time of year and I want to thank you for participating in my challenges.  I am a day late with the winner for the last Inspired by challenge... sorry about that.  It is so hard to choose a winner, I had my girls help me this week.  This card from Connie is the one that stole our hearts.  I just love the cute little elf and the shape of the card.  Way to go Connie!

Inspired By #3

This will be the final Inspired By Challenge until after Christmas.  I will have another one ready for December 29th.  Until then, what better challenge than a Santa Inspiration.  I LOVE Santa, especially the vintage, chubby cheeked one.  Here is the inspiration this week, once again another Pinterest photo:

I had to use my Holiday Style collection by October Afternoon.  The papers and image were perfect!  I also added some of the Die Cuts from the same Collection and of course some Caribbean and Marachino twine from The Twinery.  I also incorporated the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge - Santa; and the sketch from Got Sketch.

This challenge will be open for 2 weeks.
The prize this week will be some Marachino and Caribbean twine from The Twinery.

Inspired By #2

Hi everyone, how are the holiday projects coming along?  Are you almost ready for Christmas?  Me I have most of my gifts bought, not wrapped though.  And I still need to get my cards mailed out.... I know!

Anyhow here is the second inspiration picture for this week's challenge.  Isn't this cake cute!  It is by

FATMA ÖZMEN METİNEL who has a fabulous Flickr site.

I used this week's Clean & Simple Sketch:

For my card, I used the Echo Park Holly Jolly Collection.  It is just so bright and fun and I thought it suited these elf booties well.  The image is fromWhimsie Doodles.  I have embellished the card with some Marachino twine from The Twinery, some coarse glitter on the elf boots along with some little jingle bells.

Finally this is also for the following challenges.  Crazy 4 Challenges - Holiday movies (mine is obviously Elf)
The CAS-ual Fridays Challenge - I went with Scallops, Green and Stripes

This week there will also be a prize.
Remember to link up by next Wednesday December 14th 11:59 PST.  For your chance at the prize.

Inspired By #1

Welcome to the first Inspired By Challenge!  So glad you are here!

I have been contemplating this for awhile now and I figured I may as well get it under way.  I spend a bit of time, well maybe a lot of time on Pinterest ;)  I love Pinterest.  There are so many great ideas for every aspect of life.  I decided that it was time to make good use of that pinning time and start my own challenge blog.  These challenges will be based on inspiration photos and I would love to see your take on them.  This will be a pretty casual challenge; sometimes prizes ( I want to share some of the many goodies I have been fortunate to have received), sometimes guests.  I will just see where it takes me, and who comes along before I get anything set in stone.  I would love for you to play along.

So here is my first challenge for you.  I would love to see where this inspiration photo takes you.   You may be inspired by the colors, the feel (a bit of shabby), the images, whatever inspires you.  You can make any type of project; cards, tags, scrapbook pages or altered art it is up to you.  If you play along please include this inspiration photo in your post with a link back to this challenge.  Thank you.

Here is my project, I was inspired by the soothing colors and the shabbiness of it.  These fabulous papers are from Jessica Sprague.  I used papers from the Winter Wonderland and the 12 Days of Christmas paper collections.  These are such gorgeous sets!!!  The ribbon,  Champagne V Striped Twill, and Jute twine are from May Arts and are available at The Ribbon Carousel.  Finally, the tree and sentiment are dies from Papertrey Ink.

Oh and since this is the inaugural challenge I do have a fabulous prize for the winner!    The winner will receive the Papertrey Ink 2011 Limited Edition stamp set!   Good luck to you!  You have until next Wednesday, December 7 at 11:59 PST to get your entry in.  I will then post a winner on the weekend.

Don't forget that Jessica Sprague is having their holiday sale
